Gamblers Classic 2011
It's back!
On April 15th-17th of 2011, the Corvettes of Bakersfield will be bringing back the 16th Annual Gambler's Classic. The event will once again be in Laughlin, NV, at the Riverside Resort Hotel and Casino. It will once again offer the package that was always so popular and will include a dinner-show on friday night, a poker run on Saturday morning, a car show competition on Saturday afternoon. It is a given that you will have a great opportunity to meet old friends, make new ones and see some great corvettes. This "All corvette" show had 463 cars registered in 2007 and almost 1,000 great corvette owners, including our Corvettes of Bakersfield folks who also own corvettes.
After fifteen years, we took a three year break, We're ready to kick off the next fifiteen years with our 2011 Gamblers Classic. Our attendees over the years made it clear to us that they loved our format (all corvette event, dinner show, poker run, car show) and you wanted it to be in Laughlin (on the river).
We have the site (Riverside Resort Hotel and Casino) and the event structure that let Corvettes of Bakersfield offer participants the same great weekend that they have become accustomed to in past years. In 2011, the first 300 Corvettes registered will be able to participate in the full program and the first 450 Corvettes will be able to enjoy the dinner show, poker run, car show and parking in the dedicated show area. If the event once again grows beyond these numbers, the facilities can be accessed in the future to expand the full program to larger number of corvettes.
If you've been to our Gambler's Classic in the past, you know it's a great weekend that is full of fun. If you haven't you will love this event. In addition proceeds from the gambler's Classic goes to very deservining charities, and this event has resulted in over $100,000 in contributions to these charities.
Keep an eye on our website for the registration material this summer, and I encourage you to register early so that you can be assured of participation in the full program at our 2011 Gambler's Classic.
